Permission to Leap: What it takes to live your fullest and best life

You’re not going to want to miss this week’s video blog. Here I interview Bri Seeley, a life coach, entrepreneur, podcaster, speaker, HuffPost contributor and most recently author, with her first book, Permission to Leap launching in the coming weeks!

I caught up with Bri last week to discuss her new book (which I highly recommend), the leaps she’s taken in her life to get to where she is now, and the biggest things holding us all back from experiencing our full potential. Watch now to get your FREE kindle version of the book before it officially launches!

Ever feel like you’re ready for a change, but can’t decide if it’s the right thing to do? Or know in your heart that you were meant for something bigger? Or maybe you keep getting a feeling you should change jobs, move to a different city, or get out of a relationship, but there’s no rational explanation for doing so?

This week I interviewed Bri Seeley, the author of a new book, Permission to Leap; The Six Phase Journey to Bring Your Vision to Life, a book that not only explains why it’s important to listen to your intuition and feelings but also lays out the steps to act on them.

I met Bri while hiking in Bali last year; we were both traveling alone. When she told me she was an entrepreneur and life coach who worked with women, I knew our meeting was meant to be.

Since then I’ve been following Bri, and her journey as a female entrepreneur this year has been full of ups and downs. Listening to her podcast, The Amplify Collective, which she hosted with her friend and former business partner, I was riveted by her interviews with the likes of Danielle LaPorte. She is also a HuffPost contributor, speaker and podcast host of Permission to Leap.  So when I learned that Bri was writing a book, I knew I had to read it.

As soon as I could get my hands on a copy, I devoured it….in about 3 days (which is a feat since I’m a crazy slow reader).

I’ve taken many big ‘leaps’ in my life, big risks that didn’t make sense anywhere but in my heart, so it was great to be reminded how beneficial they are. But what I loved about the book is that it’s essentially a playbook of how to take your life to its full potential, with vision, belief and action.

I recognized the phases Bri outlines in the book: the signs that we need to make the leap in the first place; the long (and sometimes excruciating) phase of indecision; and the challenges and miracles that arise when you finally commit to change.

It was insightful in that it explained what I have gone through in the past, and will likely go through again…and how to move through each phase with more grace and ease.

“Humanity will be incomplete if you don’t realize your vision.”

In this week’s interview, Bri and I discuss:

  • The importance of taking the leap
  • What led her to writing this book in the first place
  • The Fence of Indecision
  • Aligning with your Vision
  • The role that visualization plays in manifesting your dreams
  • The challenges along the way
  • Burning the proverbial boat
  • Why feedback is so important to refine your focus

“Saying ‘yes’ to your vision is the single-most important thing you could ever do.”
